Father Martin Padovani came to the Divine Word Missionary Bordentown community in 1961, a year after his ordination, and began working in the vocational ministry. During that time, he also obtained a master's degree in counseling from the University of Iona in New York, and when relieved of his vocational work, entered into the counseling ministry. There, he has wielded a phenomenal impact providing marriage counseling and helping people deal with psychological problems. Moreover, his assistance has been a blessing for the many priests and religious who have found their way to his office, seeking help.
Over the years, Fr. Padovani has become a much sought after speaker on the many modern problems that people face in their daily lives. In June 1993, Fr. Padovani became the thirteenth rector of the Bordentown community, serving three terms, and has held the record for the longest missionary assignment at Bordentown as of 2011, when he celebrated his golden jubilee. As a result of his talks and writings, he is also the best-known Divine Word Missionary in the community. Many of Fr. Padovani's talks have been recorded on CD, DVD and now YouTube. He is the author of two books, "Healing Wounded Emotions" and "Healing Wounded Relationships", which have helped countless individuals.
In 2018, Fr. Padovani received the Lifetime Achievement Award of Champions for Life for his tireless advocacy for the unborn and their mothers throughout the Diocese of Trenton. He celebrates Sunday Mass at St. Catharine & St. Margaret Churches in Spring Lake, N.J. and Our Lady of Good Counsel in Moorestown, N.J.

Please join me in giving thanks to God as I celebrate 60 years of priesthood with Jesus Christ and the daily joy I find in ministering to God's people.
To everyone who has offered their prayers, support and love over these many years, know that I am forever grateful. You have helped me to serve you and God these past 60 years. May we all continue to receive His blessings in the years ahead.
